Congrats on your win! Was it an easy one?

Philipp Oswald: No, it's never easy. We played a very solid first round then we got into the quarterfinals after a walkover. We never got broken throughout the whole tournament. So we also were super strong on our serve. All chances we had, we took. Them. We both are really happy we finished the season very strong.

Maxim Mirnyi: You never can say the victory was easy just looking at the score. Even though we won all the matches at the tournaments in straight sets and didn't drop our serve there is always a special pressure when you are playing at home. And I think “VTB Kremlin Cup” is a home tournament for me as unfortunately we haven't got in Minsk an ATP tournament, that's why for me the one in Moscow is like a home tournament. Many of my relatives and friends came to watch me and that is one more reason to show your best. And when you managed to do this it is a great pleasure.

You were the top seeds of the tournament and your opponents were not seeded, but still there was a great fight in the finals. How could you comment it?

Philipp Oswald: We had a good game plan and I think we were dominating with our serves and those few chances. We had one break point in the first set and we converted it, in the second set we had two break points. So I think we were pretty solid that week.

Maxim Mirnyi: I’ve had a couple of such a situations in my career. It doesn't matter if you are playing singles or doubles if you are playing well and everything goes your way, you showed it. And Damir did it today. Our main strategy was to make Damir's partner play more balls because when Dzhumhur was playing perfectly well that made us struggle a little bit.

It's the fifth tournament you’ve played together with Philipp Oswald and you’ve just won your first title. What is your secret recipe for success?

Philipp Oswald: I think, we still have some things to improve. After every match we played together we grew stronger and were really looking forward to the next one.

Maxim Mirnyi: We just understand each other well, just as in all the previous tournaments we played together – starting from with Philipp’s home tournament in Kitzbuhel last August. We feel comfortable to play on the court together and we are good friends off court, we spending much time in hotels, planes, restaurants. We complement each other well. He plays a rather active tennis, we have a similar style. Today's result is a positive one and I think it will give us a push to play together. We will try to start a new season teaming up together. We have to improve our rankings to play the big tournaments.

“VTB Kremlin Cup” is improving from year to year how could you comment on new style, the new lighting etc.?

Maxim Mirnyi: When I came here in 2013 I liked the organizers decided to make such lighting on courts. But I didn't like the arena's light at all, it was terrible for my eyes. But now light is as usual, as most of the tournaments have. I like it better. I was really happy I saw the Moscow tournament made this too. I really like when the court is like the stage in the theater: it is lighted well, but you can't see the stands (in the dark).

Philipp Oswald: There are a lot of spectators, it is combined. It convenient with the hotel located nearby. We really liked it when we came.
